St. John’s Episcopal Church - Sunday, July 22, 2018
From Fr. Ray+
We are just a week away from the first meeting of the St. John’s Men’s Group! We’ll gather at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, for hamburgers, cold beer and good company. There is no program planned other than a discussion about what we might be interested in doing moving forward. Ideas and suggestions are welcome! For more info contact the church office or West Hornor.
Long-time member Jenny Topp fell last week and broke her foot. She underwent surgery at the Helena-West Helena Hospital and has moved to a rehab facility in Memphis to get back on her feet. Her address at the rehab is:

Whenever the little red wagon shows up in the church narthex, you know our ECW is up to something good! Up until the start of the new school year, our ECW is collecting supplies for Helena-West Helena teachers. By providing these much needed supplies we are able to help both teachers and students. Many teachers go above and beyond in buying supplies for their classrooms. Hopefully, our support will remind them that we value all they do for the students of our community. The following items are being collected this summer and can be placed in the red wagon in the narthex:
Any donations of money designated for “Teacher Supplies” will be used to purchase pencils and paper.
We will bless these donations of pencils and paper, along with our student’s backpacks, at our August Ice Cream Social.
Blessings, Fr. Ray+
