LOUISIANA FLOOD RELIEF OFFERING

1 Corinthians 12:26
If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.

This past week the St. John’s Family contributed $1,700 (as of Monday) for Louisiana flood relief.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated and is a sign of your commitment to those beyond our own walls.  These funds will be sent to Bishop Larry Benfield and distributed to Louisiana through his Discretionary Fund.

Since arriving at St. John’s last Spring I have been inspired by our congregation’s generosity.  Whether it is providing gifts cards for me to distribute to folks in need, assisting others through the Priest’s Discretionary Fund, supporting Children and Youth via the Ophelia Polk Moore Fund, contributing to a young mom and her newborn child or reaching out to new educators at Teach for America the St. John’s Family exhibits an ongoing concern for our neighbors in need.  We have been blessed in so very many ways.  Thank you for celebrating our many blessings by being a blessing to others.
