Welcome To St. John's !
For 164 years St. John’s Episcopal Church has been bearing witness to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and serving the Helena-West Helena Community in his name. I consider it an honor and a privilege to have joined the long line of faithful priests who have served here.
Whether you are new to this part of the Delta or a life-long resident, please know that you are welcome at St. John’s. We seek to uphold the uniqueness and beauty of traditional Anglican worship while ministering to the needs of 21st Century people. We take seriously our Lord’s call to care for “the least of these.” Through an informal partnership with Mid-Delta Services we seek to provide assistance to local folks in need and we are enthusiastic supporters of the wonderful work done by the Grace Food Pantry. Folks who attend St. John’s can be found putting their faith into practice by working with Community groups such as The Boys and Girls Club of Phillips County, the Phillips County Humane Society, the Lexa Children’s Home, Young Life of Phillips County and numerous other agencies in the area.
We believe our most important work is providing a place where all people can grow in their relationship with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. In keeping with our Baptismal Covenant we seek to “proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ.” Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you will find St. John’s to be a place where you are welcomed, respected and valued. St. John’s is proud to be a place where ALL are welcome! That includes you!
