St. John’s Episcopal Church

Members of St. John's are invited to participate in an Advent workshop with Canon Jason Alexander. We will meet on Saturday, December 4 from 9:00 a.m. - Noon in the parish hall to consider the challenges and opportunities that the transitions in life present. Viewing a period of transition in congregational leadership as a formative "desert experience," akin to the Israelite's wilderness journey from Egypt to their new home, can help us make the most of this time, communally and personally. We will explore the spirituality of the early Christian desert tradition and learn what wisdom it has for us today, including an ancient form of contemplative prayer and a method for identifying common stumbling blocks on the spiritual path. Learn more about desert spirituality at desertprayers.com or contact Jason Alexander at jalexander@episcopalarkansas.org

We are having Sunday services this week in the church at St. John’s.  St. John’s doors will continue to be open for all Sunday Services depending on the weekly number of COVID19. Masks, social distancing, use of the hand sanitizer and temperature checks are mandatory this week and as long as case numbers are up.  In order to follow the social distance of six feet required, certain pews will continue to be roped off.  Thank you everyone for your help in trying to prevent these numbers to continue to rise.  Our prayers continue to be for more people to participate in this cause.

Video will be available for those unable or are not comfortable to attend in person.
